My very first Crochet Along (CAL) will start in January 2021! The CALendar Blanket Crochet Along will start on January 11th and will run for THE WHOLE YEAR!  How exciting is that?!  A year long crochet project…it’s what dreams are made of!

So, what is a CAL I hear you ask?!  Well, a Crochet Along (CAL) is a project that everyone works on at the same time for a designated amount of time.  Parts of the project are usually released in stages and participants often share their progress as they go.  We can share ours in our Facebook group and if anyone finds any bits tricky, we can all help each other (or I’ll do a little video).

My CALendar Blanket is made up of 12 decorated rectangles which are crocheted together to make a blanket.  The finished blanket measures approximately 140cm x 80cm.  At the beginning of January, you will receive/collect the yarn for the first half of the project and the pattern for January, as well as a few stitch markers, the buttons and any other accessories that you’ll need.  I will then email you the patterns for the following months (month by month) and will let you know when the final instalment of yarn is ready for collection or for posting.  In total, there’s approximately 24 balls of 50g DK yarn!

The CALendar blanket crochet along uses all of the basic crochet stitches (dc, htr, tr, dtr and a dc2tog).  I’ll pop a FREE stitch guide in with the first yarn instalment,  and there will also be a short online video to demonstrate these stitches too.
